during Droughts

ave you ever lived in a part of the country or the world that
experienced a drought? A drought is a shortage of water caused
by below-average rainfall. It can be scary, because water is needed
for life. During a drought, every bit of water
needs to be conserved.
In many places, drinking water is stored in
large
reservoirs
until it is used. A research
team at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT), led by Moshe Alamaro,
tried to find a way to conserve water by
reducing evaporation from reservoirs.
