Humid Midlatitude Zone
In the Midwest and Northeast, you can be fairly sure that it will be
cold and snowy in January and February. It will be warm and humid
during the summer. This weather pattern occurs in Minnesota,
Illinois, Connecticut, and Maine.
The humid midlatitude zone includes
the midwestern United States, New
England, and the southern part of
Canada. This climate zone supports
large forests with many different
kinds of trees, both evergreen and
deciduous.
Humid Subtropical Zone
The southeastern United States rarely have snow in the winter.
Spring and summer are rainy, hot, and humid. The humid
subtropical zone supports large hardwood forests, palm trees,
and many kinds of mosses and vines.
